About the Foundation

The "STEP TO PEACE" Charitable Foundation is a union of caring people who believe in the power of kindness and mutual aid.

Foundation Mission

The Foundation's mission is to unite Ukrainian and international resources to provide legal, humanitarian, and social support to people affected by the war in Ukraine, facilitating their recovery and development.
Our Foundation does not raise funds for the purchase of weapons or any means of warfare. We work exclusively in the humanitarian field and focus on supporting the victims, providing them with protection, essential aid, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives, including returning to Ukraine.

Core Principles of Work

Transparency

Our Foundation considers transparency one of the key principles of its work. We are committed to ensuring full openness in everything related to the collection, distribution, and use of funds. The transparency of the Foundation's activities is realized through the following mechanisms:
1. Openness of documents and legal transparency
public access to the Foundation's statutory and registration documents confirming the legality and legitimacy of our activities;
official translations of the statute into English, German, and Spanish available on the website to ensure clarity and trust from the international community.
2. Financial transparency
open monitoring of received and spent funds with regular updates of financial reports on the website; engagement of external or independent audits (where possible) to confirm the accuracy of financial reporting.
3. Public control and availability of information
24/7 public control over the Foundation's activities through open data and available communication channels; prompt response to inquiries from citizens, partners, and donors regarding the Foundation's work and our programs; the right of everyone to contact the Foundation and receive full information on how their funds were used.
4. Transparency of work organization
video monitoring of office work and program implementation, which allows seeing real processes and increases trust;
publication of detailed reports on implemented projects, including the volume of aid provided and its recipients (compliance with confidentiality requirements).

We are convinced that the more openly the Foundation works, the stronger the public trust — and therefore, the more people will be able to receive the necessary help.

Targeted Assistance

Our Foundation operates on the principle of targeted assistance, which means that help should go exactly to those people who need it most. We carefully study and analyze every request, verify information, and establish real needs to ensure the effective use of funds and the achievement of concrete results.
Targeted assistance allows us to help those in the most difficult life circumstances: people in acute psychological and moral distress;
those who find themselves without means of subsistence;
persons experiencing a critical shortage of food, housing, or basic resources.
We are convinced that every hryvnia of aid should bring real relief to those standing on the brink of survival. That is why targeted assistance is one of the key principles of our activity.

Responsibility

Our Foundation works with a full awareness of responsibility before people, society, our donors, partners, and before God. We understand that every decision and every action impacts the lives of those in need of help, so we commit to acting honestly, professionally, and with respect for human dignity.
1. Responsibility to aid recipients
to provide help in a timely manner, with quality, and in accordance with real needs;
to adhere to ethical standards, especially when working with people experiencing difficult circumstances;
to ensure respect, sensitivity, and humanity in all interactions.
2. Responsibility to donors and partners
to use entrusted funds exclusively for their intended purpose;
to provide transparent and regular reports on expenses and results;
to inform about the impact of contributions on real changes in people's lives.
3. Responsibility to society and the state
to work in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and international charity standards;
to maintain honesty, openness, and integrity in every process;
to make decisions based on the principles of benefit and service to people.
4. Spiritual responsibility
to realize that our activity has a moral and spiritual dimension;
to act responsibly and fairly, understanding that we answer not only to people but also to God;
to preserve honesty, conscience, and respect in every decision and step.
5. Personal responsibility of the team
each team member is responsible for their actions, professionalism, and adherence to the Foundation's standards;
we are attentive to our duties, decisions, and the quality of aid provided;
we support an internal culture of honesty, discipline, and mutual respect.

Responsibility is the foundation of our work. We answer to people, to society, and to God to ensure that every step we take brings good and real results.

Humanity

The "Step to Peace" Foundation helps those affected by the war in Ukraine. We provide free legal support and protect people's rights so they can rebuild their lives and find support in difficult times. We believe that every person deserves help and respect — regardless of age, nationality, or circumstances. By uniting Ukrainian and international resources, we make aid effective and accessible to everyone who needs it.
Our principle is simple: humanity and care are capable of changing lives for the better.
